Hana's Gender Confirmation Surgeries
Donation protected
Hello,
My name is Hana. I am a Black American trans-woman living in Philadelphia PA. I started my journey to step into my true self a little over a year ago (took my first hormone on December 17th 2018 to be exact). Since then, I have been working tirelessly in order to save up the funds needed for my Gender Confirmation Procedures in an effort to quell my Gender Dysphoria, to become happy and content in my own skin in line with my Gender Identity, and begin living my life truly and fully as the woman I know myself to be. Unfortunately, transitioning is expensive enough as it is and when you factor in the costs needed for the procedures necessary to truly feel content in my body, it can seem all too daunting and impossible at times. It certainly doesn't help trying to navigate the world as a trans-woman of color. The opportunities for people like me are few and far in between. And, to further add to my frustrations, I recently contracted Covid-19 and lost my job along with the little income that I was bringing in. Fortunately, I am recovering nicely from the virus. Unfortunately, I am scrambling to find a way that I can earn the monies necessary to complete my transition. This is why I have decided to come to GoFundMe; in hopes that I may be able to get some of the help that I need in order to meet my goals.
I am hoping to raise $60,000 to cover the costs of continued hormone replacement therapy, a Breast Augmentation, SRS/Sex Reassignment Surgery, and hopefully FFS/Facial Feminization Surgeries (so that I may feel comfortable and feminine leaving my house without always needing to wear makeup haha), and any expenses associated with travel and recovery. Despite the set backs I've encountered so far in my journey, I am doing my very best to remain optimistic and hopeful that one day I will be able to meet my goals, and that I can finally exist comfortably and confidently in my own skin, as the woman I know myself to be. Thank you so much for listening to my story.
Sincerely,
Hana
