Help Hanako go for her W-A-L-K
Donation protected
I am raising funds for my beloved dog, Hanako. A few months ago, Hanako tore her CCL (cranial cruciate ligament) while running around on a baseball field. The CCL is the ligament in the knee that connects the shin to the femur/thigh bone. Some dogs have healed from a CCL tear without surgery, but Hanako will need surgery as her leg isn’t recovering on its own.
The CCL repair surgery is called tibial plateau leveling osteotomy, and it is a very common surgical procedure with a high success rate (90-95%). The veterinary surgeon at the Las Vegas Veterinary Speciality Surgery Center said Hanako is a good candidate for TPLO. Following the surgery and 12-16 week post-op recovery, we anticipate that Hanako will move around, run and just be active like she used to without being in pain and discomfort. She is almost 11 years old and I hope to see her enjoy her last few years doing what she loves: running, jumping and playing freely like all dogs should.
Anyone with a pet knows how expensive vet bills can be, and this is one I can’t pay for on my own. So I am asking for help in whatever amount you feel comfortable with. Even $5 or $10 dollars would be amazing. Whatever you can contribute will be greatly appreciated and will help cover the vet bill for a very special dog.
