handicapped accessible van for Katie

Hi, my name is Rachel . I am Katie’s aunt

 

We have been trying to get a handicapped accessible van for Katie for a while now , but unfortunately it’s not going well . Katie is severely  disabled as many of you may already know . Her long list of medical diagnoses are so very long to sit here and type out for everyone . Katie’s big ones are cerebral palsy, blind , non verbal, feeding tub , wheel chair dependent , as well as my mom and I being her primary care takers .  Katie has a lot of appointments at Mayo Clinic many times a month . Her wheelchair doesn’t break down as many of you much think it would . It’s very heavy for someone to put in a small vehicle themselves and or to put into a normal vehicle in general . We are asking for some help because Katie’s grant money / the state of Minnesota doesn’t want to spend the money she has available to get this for us to make her trips and adventures much easier for herself and her care takers .
