Hand Up For Kids

Hand Up Toronto presents: Hand Up for Kids - an initiative created in response to the COVID - 19 impacts on the Toronto community, with a particular focus towards alleviating food insecurity.

This initiative aims to provide healthy meals to low-income households with children and vulnerable youths that are in need. We have decided that in replacement of our weekly sandwich runs we have been hosting out of Moss park for the past 5 years, we will be switching to grocery runs.   

Our team at HUT has and will always continue to stand by our mission of alleviating poverty in the GTA and contributing to a society without hunger.

100% of proceeds will be used to provide breakfast care packages that provide nutritious meals to support low-income households, vulnerable children and families in need of extra support. 


HOW IT WORKS: 

1. Teachers, social workers, and families in need can fill out a grocery care package request form on the Hand Up Website 

2. Grocery care packages are a combined effort from the Hand Up Toronto and GlobalMedic team and are packaged on a weekly basis

3. A text or email will be sent a few days before to confirm a contactless delivery OR to schedule a pick up at one of our contactless drive-through sites

4. Your grocery care package will be delivered to your door step or at the designated pick up site. More information will be sent to your email. 

*PLEASE NOTE : we are currently experiencing a high influx of sign-ups. Delivery dates will vary depending on location - we are aiming to reach ALL the families signed up and are working as quickly as possible to reach all the families. *
