Handyman Dan needs our help

The community in and around Coquille, Oregon has been fortunate to have Dan Sherbondy in our midst and ready to help anyone who needs it. Dan is a jack of all trades, as he is able to fix a roof, mow a lawn, clean a gutter, paint a house, dig a ditch by hand to fix a sewer line, build and stain a deck, and repair a damaged floor. He has done all of these things for us over the past year when our situation has not allowed us to do them ourselves. He has come at a moment's notice when we have fallen and put us back together again. Not only has Dan worked for us, but many others in the community depend on him. Last week, Dan suffered a dehabilitating stroke and has been in ICU in Eugene. He is now conscious but has not regained use of his left side. He will be moved to a skilled nursing facility on Monday. Due to the nature of his job, he will not be able to resume working for a long time, if at all. Everyone who knows him knows that there will be a big hole in our lives without his help and his smiling face. We encourage you to donate to his fund to get him through this very difficult time. Let's return the love that he has given us for so long and prove that we are a supportive community.
