My name is Haneesh, and I’m currently pursuing my master’s in Aerospace engineering at the University of Glasgow. This opportunity is a dream come true for me and the result of years of hard work and determination. However, I am now facing an unexpected financial challenge that threatens to halt my education.

I am humbly asking for your support to help me raise £15,000 to cover the remaining tuition fees for my master’s degree and secure a brighter future for my family and me.

A Journey of Hard Work and Sacrifice:

I come from a humble background in a small village in India. I am proud to say that I am the first person in my entire family to complete an undergraduate degree and pursue a master’s abroad. My parents, despite facing immense hardships, have always placed my education as their highest priority.

• My Father, who has worked as a personal driver for over 26 years, sacrificed his dreams of education due to family obligations. His dedication to ensuring that I had the opportunities he couldn’t have has been a constant source of inspiration for me. Tragically, his years of hard work have taken a toll, and he recently lost his shoulder joint due to the physical demands of his job.

• My Mother, a healthcare worker who assists pregnant women in our village, also suffers from severe knee issues due to her physically demanding work. Despite these challenges, my parents have worked tirelessly to support my dreams.

How I Got Here and Aspirations:

I’ve worked hard to reach this point. During my undergraduate studies in India, I led a team to design and test a restart able solid rocket motor, which was a pivotal moment in my journey toward a career in aerospace. I also served as a youth president for four years, helping guide and mentor young people in my community. At the University of Glasgow, I am gaining advanced knowledge and hands-on experience that will prepare me to make meaningful contributions to aerospace engineering, particularly in rocket engine design and testing. This degree is more than just a personal goal—it’s a pathway to contribute to innovation and technological advancement in space exploration.

Thanks to a fully funded government scholarship, I was able to complete my undergraduate studies in aerospace engineering. This reduced the financial burden on my family and allowed me to excel academically. It was this foundation that helped me secure admission to the University of Glasgow

To fund my master’s, I took out an education loan and paid half of my tuition fees, relying on the promise of the Andhra Pradesh government’s overseas scholarship program to cover the rest. However, due to budget constraints, the government has suspended funding for this year and the next two years, leaving me unable to pay the remaining £15,000 required to complete my degree.

Why I Need Your Help:

My tuition fees are paid in monthly installments of £3,736, with four installments remaining. The full amount must be paid by May 1, 2025. Despite my best efforts, including budgeting, part-time work, and seeking alternative funding, I am unable to meet this requirement without external help.

Your support will ensure I can complete my master’s program and achieve my dream of becoming an aerospace engineer. With this degree, I hope to give back to society, contribute to technological innovation, and finally provide my parents the retirement they so deeply deserve after a lifetime of sacrifices.
