Mike (aka Moon) has been unable to work since late Summer 2024. He was diagnosed with cancer in January 2025 after surgery for a hernia that did not resolve acute and unrelenting pain. He’s working with a truly phenomenal treatment team at Dana Farber.

He’s made his way through intense testing and treatments, two week-long hospitalizations, and started a promising treatment in late August (2025). He’s had to dig deep to more than once walking into unknown terrain, and he’s done it with grit and grace.

When we started this GoFundMe to help Mike tackle the financial crisis that came along with cancer, we were hopeful we would find support, and entirely unsure what to expect.. Your support has helped us not only reach, but exceed our initial fundraising goal. We simply can’t thank you enough for your love and generosity.

Your messages of support and ongoing help are so appreciated and have been critical to managing day-to-day expenses We have raised the goal to $50,000 as Mike begins his second year out of work with better days despite side effects and new limitations.
