Hi everyone,
This is Hanna Harrell. I am 15 years old and a Team USA figure skater. I have competed at nationals since 2016, and have been to internationals since 2017. Figure skating has been a huge part of my life since I was 3 years old. My mom took me to a mall with an ice rink, and I immediately fell in love with the sport.
I train in Plano, Texas and train with Olga Ganicheva and Aleksey Letov. They have been my coaches since I was 8 years old, and have been with them for almost half of my life! My first accomplishment was when I was 12 years old, and became the 2016 U.S. Figure Skating Juvenile Silver Medalist. After this, I landed all of my triples and ended up skipping a level. I made it to nationals again the following year, and was assigned my first international. I was able to represent the United States, and received the silver medal. In 2018 I was the Junior Ladies Pewter Medalist. However, my biggest accomplishment was at the 2019 U.S. Figure Skating Championships. It was my first time competing in the Senior level (highest) and I became the pewter medalist. Then I competed at the 2019 World Junior Championships and became 7th place overall. In my career so far, I have competed internationally 6 times.
Figure skating is my favorite thing to do, and I am hoping to make it to the 2022 Winter Olympics in Beijing. Because this sport is very expensive, it is very financially difficult to support my training. I am starting to become an elite level athlete, and need proper training. This year, Misha Ge has choreographed my programs. It is necessary to have great skating skills and program to be within the competitive level. I also need to have lessons to help with my jumps (in order to learn new jumps), off ice instructor, stretching classes, stroking classes, and skating fees to let me skate. While training already seems like a lot, I also need money for costumes and traveling for competition and extra training. I live with my single mom, and she has always supported me throughout my journey. Your donation would mean a lot to me and my mom, and allow me to train my very best. This will allow me to earn more titles and even go to the 2022 winter Olympics, which would be my ultimate goal. Thank you so much, and the donations would help me out so much!
Thank you!
