Hannah and Zane battle through cancer and loss

Donation protected
On Christmas Eve 2024, after many years of trying to conceive, Hannah and Zane received the exciting news that they were finally pregnant. This moment of pure happiness and excitement quickly turned to uncertainty when, just two weeks later, on January 7th, 2025, Hannah was diagnosed with stage 2 triple negative breast cancer. The pathology results indicate that the cancer cells are dividing rapidly so treatment needs to happen fast. Triple negative breast cancer is also only responsive to a few treatment options.

The news was devastating—especially after the long and emotional journey they had taken to get to this point. Now, in addition to the challenges of pregnancy, Hannah faces the harsh reality of starting cancer treatment. In order to begin the necessary treatment for her cancer, she had to undergo a D&C procedure. This decision was not ideal but necessary.

As you can imagine, this has been an incredibly emotional and difficult time for Hannah and Zane. They had dreamed for so long of starting a family, only to now find themselves in a fight none of us ever think is going to happen, especially at such a young age. Despite the overwhelming challenges, she is staying strong, but she needs our help more than ever. The road ahead will be filled with surgeries, chemotherapy, and medical treatments, and the financial burden is something no one should have to face alone. Short term disability maxes out at only 70% of her salary. From medical bills to lost wages and the everyday costs of care, it’s an incredibly heavy load.

We are asking for your support—whether it's through donations or sharing her story—to help lighten the financial burden so she can focus on getting better. Your generosity will go directly to her medical expenses, treatments, and essential needs during this difficult time. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a world of difference.

Hannah has always been a source of strength, kindness, and love for everyone around her. Now, she needs that same support and love from all of us. Thank you for your generosity and your encouragement as she faces this heartbreaking journey.
