Hannah's Medical Fund for Airlift
Hey all,
My name is Emma and I'm here to ask you all for support for my lifetime best friend, my soulmate, my pepperoni, Hannah Fortier. Hannah just returned home from Hawaii after a tramatic, and life threatening experience while hiking the Kalalau Trail with her boyfriend, Ari and friends. Hannah experienced naseau and vomiting which got progressively worse throughout the night where she was hallucinating, losing consciousness and eventually experienced a seizure. Ari stayed up with her all night where she remained stable but unresponsive. He had made it to morning where he serendipitously met some men with medical backgrounds who said her condition was serious and she needed to be airlifted to a hospital as soon as possible.
18 hours after Hannah's seizure, a helicopter, to an ambulance, to an airplane and another ambulance later, she was safe and gaining consciousness in the hospital. The diagnosis was heat stroke. Hannah could've lost her life in that jungle, thank you to Ari and the brave men who were her heroes who saved her life!
In instance of an emergency where time is ticking, most of us won't think twice about taking that emergency flight/vehicle to survival. But we all know it is tremendously expensive. Since Hannah took 4 means of transportation, her expenses for emergency transportation alone add up to around $50,000. The goal of this campaign is to at least help relieve Hannah of her immensely high deductible.
Hannah is a vibrant, kind, strong, hilarious, gorgeous young woman who wins hearts of everyone she meets. She has experienced more crazy, traumatic, stressful events in her life than anyone I know. Yet each time she comes out with grace, even stronger than ever. I would hate to see her suffer financially from this event that was entirely out of her hands.
Hannah cares so deeply for her mother, her boyfriend, her friends, her family, it would warm my heart to be able to help her through this. Any amount counts!
