Hannah's Ark: Minibus to Mobile Home (Closed.)

An update for supporters of the Hannah's Ark mini camper build project:

First, I would like to thank all of those who contributed their money and prayers to this venture, to which my own heart was very much committed, and which generosity and support I am greatly appreciative of.

Secondly, I regret to announce that this project was sabotaged through the disreputable dealings of workmen and the vandalism of people with nothing to lose and no consideration for the property or hardships of others.

The money that was put in good faith toward the completion of this project was not squandered through any recklessness on my part, but because I didn’t have the foreknowledge of the character of the people working for me (who had previously been both reliable and honest), or the expectation that my property would be violated while I was at work, I became the victim of both misfortunes, after which dual calamities it became apparent to me that the project was no longer viable, financially or logistically.

Sometimes even carefully laid plans can and do fail because of factors outside of our control. This project was, unfortunately, an endeavor that wasn't meant to be. Had I had the resources to recover from my losses and complete the build with contractors who specialized in that work (which are both difficult to find and very expensive, I discovered), I probably would have done so, so as not to lose all of my precious investment into the project; but this was not possible.

In hindsight, given my experience of the unpredictability of circumstances and the unscrupulous behavior of theft-minded people (to whom a mobile home is a safe on wheels), which would have been a constant threat to my property and personal safety living in a mobile residence with no way to ensure its security, I believe this was a page worth turning.

My greatest regret is all of the hard-earned money of my own and others that has been lost on this project.

To everyone who gave whatever they were willing and able to help the Hannah's Ark project to succeed, thank you. In spite of the outcome, everything was appreciated.
