Happy 21st Birthday Kania

I can hardly believe my BabyGirl will be 21 on Saturday! In honor of her birthday I set up a GofundMe for 21 days for family, friends, and all who would like to give to support her dream to become a Licensed Nail Technician.

 On March 12, 2001 @ 1201 pm at Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Bragg, North Carolina I welcomed my beautiful BabyGirl Kania Janay Williams into this world. She was a happy baby, playful toddler, inquisitive preschooler, artistic child, a kind teen, and now an all-around AWESOME young adult!

Kania is currently in her Junior year at the largest HBCU North Carolina A&T in Greensboro, NC. She is majoring in Business and Entrepreneurship. Kania will forgo a relaxing summer break and attend class at the Academy of Nails & Esthetics in Charlotte, North Carolina. She is enrolled in the fulltime course 24 May- 29 July; Tuesday – Saturday from 0800-5 pm. The course is 300 hours in both theory and practical exams that will prepare her for the state board exam.

 Her total fee for school is $2945.00, and the down payment of $695 was paid by her father. Her Uncle Damien and Aunt Hope live in Charlotte and have graciously offered a place for Kania to stay during her time at the Academy of Nails & Esthetics. This leaves a balance of $2,250 for schooling, but because she will be unable to work I’m estimating her other expenses for food and gas to be about( $750) or $88 per week. That would bring her total to $3,000.

As a single parent I have to extend my thanks to my village that have helped raise Kania and Keimani over the past 20+ years. I could not have done it without y’all and I appreciate each and every one of you.
