Happy Retirement to Yin & Seng of Best Donuts!

Hello - Yin and Seng's daughter Emily here! It is with such bittersweet enthusiasm that I announced that my parents are retiring from the donut business.

For the past 40 years, Yin and Seng have owned and operated Best Donuts in Santa Clara, serving hundreds of regulars and making thousands of donuts over the past decades. This year they are retiring from their beloved little store, Best Donuts. While Yin and Seng are excited about this new journey, they are saddened to not see their customers, neighbors, and Bay Area community on a regular basis. Over the years, I often heard my mom joyfully share stories of seeing customers who came in as kids, become new parents, and bringing their babies to the donut shop. Or my father excited to hear about customers' life stories, shared histories, and new hobbies. Best Donuts will always remain a special place in our family, and we know that it was always the people who made the shop so sweet and memorable.

As a surprise to my parents, I am planning a little getaway vacation for them later this year. Any donation would be greatly appreciated BUT most importantly, this GoFundMe is my attempt to collect memories and stay connected with customers. I would love to collect any notes and comments customers, friends, and family may have - about the donut shop, about eating their donuts, or spending time with my parents in general.
