Happy Dog Ranch needs your support
Donation protected
Happy Dog Ranch is one of the few facilities in the nation to combine animal rescue with education and therapeutic outreach to children and adults.
March 2018 update: Thanks for your continued support. Spring is here at the ranch and the calendar is already filling up. Looks like we'll have a busy summer. Come join us for a clinic or workshop, or put August 4 on your calendar. That's the date for this year's Cowboy Ball.
Happy Dog was the winner of the HorseLoverZ.com 2016 holiday makeover in recognition of our work!
HAPPY DOG RANCH OVERVIEW
Happy Dog Ranch is a 501(c)(3) non-profit horse rescue, educational, and therapeutic facility in Littleton, Colorado. We work with children and adults with a range of emotional and developmental disabilities from groups and schools in the Denver metro area such as The Joshua School, Binning Family Foundation , Serenity Education, Douglas County Schools Bridge Program, Littleton Public Schools and Garden Colorado.
Our Transitions program allows "transitioning" teens with Autism or Special Needs who are leaving the school environment, the opportunity to learn basic job and social skills while helping us with our small animal work.
Other groups we provide services to include a “younger onset” Alzheimer’s group from Out and About Colorado, as well as breast cancer survivors through Hope Held By a Horse . There are outreach visits to local seasonal festivals, schools, and local businesses, and grants through our therapists that allow us to interact with DOVE (Deaf Overcoming Violence Through Empowerment) ; do nature-connection programming with LGBTQ+ young adults through Queer Nature ; and work with at-risk youth through CityWILD.
