Hard working man faced with medical hardship

Hi, my name is Bill Pirtle. Just over two years ago, my brother Mike was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. He had a tumor of almost 4 inches (9.3CM) removed in December of 21 and went through Chemo.

Mike has been working with the same company since he was 18 (he is 56 now) Detroit area supermarket chain called Hollywood Supermarket. He is in the union, and he has insurance. He took a loan from 401k to cover costs and living expenses. Once he returned to work, he began paying it back.

He has not been able to follow up on appointments for the cancer or tests on whether doctors can reattach his colon.

He began the new year by getting dizzy in the cash office, passing out, and falling down a couple of steps while walking to sit down. He called 911.

At the hospital, a CAT scan revealed a number of blood clots in his lungs which were removed. Other doctors, including cancer specialists, were brought in. MRI also found he fractured a vertebra when he fell. He hopes he'll only miss two weeks total from work including the week he spent in the hospital.

He has never asked for help, and he hasn't now. I am seeking to raise money to pay his medical bills and allow him to cover his medication and follow up and maybe to see if he can do disability or early retirement.
