Hardship for the Devlin family

Hi my name is Ashlye, im the neice of Lorraine Devlin. She is a loving, caring mother,Aunt & friend who has always been there for everyone!

20 years ago Laine was diagnoses with lupus, she has had an ongoing battle with her health but as always remained strong & never complained. However On Dec 30th Laine was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer as well & started going through chemo. She still never complains & fights to stay strong for us. It has been a tough battle for sure but shes been nothing but smiles & positively all the way.

As many know Laine lost her mother at 15 years old, than having raised my dad while my popop worked. Than she lost her dad when I when she was 39 & her brother 11 months later when she was 40. Two months later she had Ryan who came very early at 2lb 13oz due to Laine having preclamsia. Laine has always been so strong, & smiles through it all. Ryan & I were raised together as brother & sister since we are the last 3 of our family, Laine wanted us always to have eachother. This has not been an easy life by any means but she has always been there to support us & never gave up on us. While doing it all on her own, she would do anything for anyone without a second thought. She has touched so many peoples lives & has always made sure Ryan, me ,& my kids were taken care of, loved & remained extra close over the years. She has been the glue to our family for the last 20 years.

UNFORTUNATELY this past week instead of having a 3rd round of chemo, we were informed by the Dr's that it is become very aggressive causing other issues & chemo was canceled.

Laine has been put on hospice as of Wednesday & has been made comfortable at home with us. My brother Ryan has been travel back & forth from Montclair for college while also working 2 jobs & taking care of his mom. I have been taveling back & forth from NC to NJ to take care of my aunt while also maintaining my household & children in NC from up here. Although it's rough, Laine is our world & being here to care for her through this is the least we could ever do! Ryan has took a leave from his job & I canceled my flight home to NC indefinitely. Laine is an absolutely amazing women, who is absolutely loved by so many! We have had our entire world shattered this week, yet she is still smiling, fighting & being so strong for us. We are asking for help if anyone would like to donate to our family for the unforseen expenses for our family due to what lies ahead.
