Help a Hardworking Nurse after devastating fire
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Amanda and I am fundraising for my sister and her kids to help with immediate costs after a major fire in their home that occurred on Dec 4, 2022. Dealing with insurance, for those of you who know, can be a slow and painful process and in the meantime there are costs of immediately replacing basic items for herself and kids. Later on they will need to replace larger items once their home is repaired. They are not able to access anything at their place and are staying with family. The kids attend Victoria Park Collegiate Institute in Toronto in grade 10 and 12.
Thankfully all involved, by the grace of God, got out safely after a fire started due to electrical problems in the kitchen, and the fire department was on site quickly. The family has been told that pretty much everything is unsalvageable, due to smoke and water damage.
For those of you who don’t know my sister, Anisa, she is one of the hardest working moms I know. Right before Covid she went back to school to follow her passion for nursing, and after two years of mostly online courses graduated at the top of her class. She now works as a hospice nurse, giving end-of-life care to the most vulnerable in our society. She is an amazing mom to three teenagers and has worked hard to provide a comfortable home for them and their very big Great Dane puppy, Hugo.
I would be so grateful for any amount you could donate to help this deserving mom. We are a family of strong faith and feel grateful that everyone is safe and sound and know that there is a Higher Power looking out for us.
Thank you for taking the time to read this, and if you cannot send a donation, please say a prayer for my sister and her kids.
Please contact Anisa or Amanda directly if there is another way you can help.
