Hardy Doyon Medical and Travel Expense Fundraiser

My good friend and co-worker, Emily Doyon, has a 13-year-old son (Hardy), who has been experiencing serious health issues and faces surgery soon. Here is her story from a recent Facebook post....

Prayers
The last few months have been a blur of scary, confusing days. Our sweet Hardy got sick at school and hasn't been back. He is suffering from a rare type of tumor that causes high blood pressure which has led to other problems. He has muscle weakness, confusion, and memory loss. We leave for Ochsner's in New Orleans Monday (11-28-22) for a procedure that should let us know if there are any more of that type of tumor, but we know God's hand is on him, and there will only be one. After the scan, we will get set up for surgery before Christmas. Hardy has had so many obstacles thrown at him in just these short 13 years. He is tired of feeling bad and tired of Dr's and tests. There has been a lot of missed work between us both and trying not let Sarah Jane feel pushed to the side. She loves him so much and hates seeing him like this. Please just keep us in your prayers because we all know they can move mountains.

Update: Hardy's tests at Ochsner's Hospital revealed that Hardy has one tumor on his right adrenal gland that sits on top of his right kidney. Surgery is scheduled for Monday, December 19, 2022 and will include two days in hospital before surgery and three days after surgery. Plus, there will follow-up appointments over the next few weeks/months to ensure resolution of symptoms.

This long battle for Hardy's health (diagnosis and treatment plan) would burden any family financially. They have been to several specialists, endured countless test appointments with Hardy, missed many days of work thus far, and now are facing more missed work, travel expenses, copays and hospital stay for Hardy's surgery the week before Christmas. I hope that you will join me in helping to support this fundraiser for Frank, Emily, Hardy and Sarah Jane Doyon. When your child is very ill, the last thing you need to worry about is how to pay your bills. Christmas is the season for giving, expecting nothing in return. I hope you will share the Christmas Spirit of Giving with the Doyon Family! God Bless You!
