Harlan's Heroes Community Fundraiser
Donation protected
More than 30 men in the York County, South Carolina community will compete in the Dam to Dam Relay Race, (100km) on February 20th, 2021. It will be challenging and fun but what could our purpose be? How can we support, lead and affect others in our community?
Want to join me in making a difference?
I'm raising money to benefit Harlan's Heroes, and any donation will help make an impact. Thanks in advance for your thoughtful contribution to this cause that means so much to me, our community, and the families it serves.
Harlan’s Heroes was founded in the memory of Harlan “the Hero” John Sullins, who battled pediatric brain cancer for 20 months. Harlan passed away just six weeks shy of his 4th birthday.
Harlan's Heroes is dedicated to spread awareness and aid those affected by pediatric cancer, with an emphasis on recurring and terminal brain cancer. Our mission is to provide the entire family with help, hope, and care.
So much is available for patients and families at the time of "original" diagnosis; grants, gift cards, toys, etc. Unfortunately, when a patient relapses many foundations come up empty handed for the child and family. It was during Harlan's relapse battle that we experienced the "gap" in assistance.
Harlan's Heroes goal is to ease some of the burdens that only a select few know and understand that accompany relapse and terminal illness. It is our hope to enable these childhood heroes and their families so that they can create lasting memories without the worry of daily living concerns.
Harlan’s Heroes is 100% volunteer based. ALL funds raised benefit the children and families we serve.

Jeremy Holt, dad to Emma, Leukemia survivor
There have been several pax in the charlotte area and beyond that have had there lives turned upside down when their children have been diagnosed with pediatric cancer. Organizations like these are the only way these families can survive. Such as myself when my daughter was diagnosed with Leukemia on Christmas eve. She had surgery on Christmas day to install her port and the first 3 rounds of chemo. After 8 days in the hospital and $112,000.00 later wondering how we are going to survive. It was then that the organizations like these start to step up and help out with our everyday bills like our mortgage. Every day we are eternally grateful for there support and are so glad to help give back to one of the organizations. Harlen Heros has been awesome supporting families even after Treatment has ended. Why is this important you ask its because the treatment protocol becomes your life your normal is now this treatment? After it ends things start to go back to the way they were before treatment and that is hard to go back to that it does not seem real. But organizations like Harlan Heroes helps by still allowing you to be apart of what has become an important part of our lives.
