HARLEM MEET AFRICA ''Let the Music Speak"

Hello music lovers and community supporters,
For the past two years, the world has endured loneliness through the pandemic. More than ever, it’s essential to bring light into people’s lives.
Harlem is a historical neighborhood where Africans, African Americans, and everyone from across the globe live side by side. While it is still trending as a fun place to go, Harlem has been labeled as inaccessible or unsavory for decades. It’s time for a change.
Our goal is to have ALL of New York experience Harlem’s culture, beauty, diversity, LOVE and community through the healing power of music.
We’re staging a concert of powerful music from Guinea, Burkina Faso, Congo, Haïti and Harlem, New York and delivering a warm invitation to join us for: "Harlem Meet Africa,” featuring headliner Natu Camara and her exciting Afro-Rock and soul band.
Natu Camara has been recognized by the city and the mayor's office as one of the most potent African performers in Harlem.
Joining Natu will be The Waiters of Happyness, the popular Harlem Funk and R&B dance band. Along with the Harlem Drum Group, led by Master Drummer Mamadou from Burkina Faso. Also bringing joy to this festive event will be HERVÉ COEUR, a vibrant, engaging Haitian musician resident in Harlem, Nkumu Katalay, an artist, orator, multi-instrumentalist, and social activist from Kinshasa, Known as DR of Congo, professional drummers from Guinea, Senegal, Great artists from Guinea and Harlem.
This event will gather individuals and families, especially those who call Harlem home. Residents and fans of great music across all five boroughs will enjoy a wonderful four hours of live music celebrating the cultural bridge between Harlem and Africa.
The event will take place at Marcus Garvey Park Richard Rogers Amphitheater
Sunday, 16th October, from 3pm till 7pm EST.
The City of New York has been transparent and strict about when and how we can do this show at the park. This is a free concert, Accessible to everyone.
