Harley Elliott Needs Emergency Surgery

Hi everyone! Here’s a quick backstory on Mr. Harley. We adopted him about 7 years ago. My mother was actually the one who found him. We were first time dog owners, so we weren’t even looking for a dog at that time. (I was allergic growing up, sighhh) But my mom was driving down Agoura Rd. And something told her to turn into the animal shelter right there. That’s where she found Harley. She called me right away and said you need to see this little guy. I rushed over. Again, we weren’t even looking to have a dog! But something was pulling us towards him. He was so scrawny and emaciated from being a stray for so long. We came back to visit him every day for a week. We had never owned a dog before, so we were a little apprehensive. All in all, we couldn’t resist and ended up adopting our precious little Harley. At the time they said he was about 6 or 7 years old. He also weighed 7lbs and now he is triple that size! He has been the most loving, sweetest dog over the years. And I couldn’t be more obsessed lol you get it. He now lives with me in our cute little apartment in Los Angeles, and he is just my whole heart and soul.

A few days, Harley was not feeling well, I took him into the vet.  He wasn't eating, was barely drinking, and was very lethargic and "dumpy". He ended up having to stay the night in the hospital and they found that he has a very enlarged Gallbladder, on top of pancreatitis and an enlarged liver. The doctor said he needs emergency surgery, as his Gallbladder is basically a ticking time bomb, costing between $6-8,000.  Regardless of the discomfort and seriousness of his situation, he is still the sweetest, quietest, most loving dog and deserves to have this surgery. I recognize how trying these times are with the Corona Virus, but anything will help in this time and would be so greatly appreciated. My dog means the world to me, as I'm sure any pet owner could understand that. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
