On May 11th, Harlie was sent to NICU to do monitored feedings to get to a healthier weight before being sent home due to a failed test. The moment we sat down in the NICU room they placed her in my arms. i looked at her face and noticed her lips were purple. and next thing i knew amongst the beeping from machines she was taken from my arms and put onto her bed surrounded by nurses and doctors trying to get her to breathe. they got Harlie stable enough to transport her by helicopter to a bigger hospital in Orlando. They immediately hooked her up to an IV, oxygen, and an EEG (detects abnormalities in brain waves) and monitored her on machines. They noticed she was having several seizures a day (around 20) She continues to have episodes of not breathing and having to be stimulated to start breathing again. Harlie is now having drops in her heart rate and holding of breath at the same time as well and not holding her own body temperature. Amongst all of this they are now checking to see if she has an upper respiratory infection as well. As hard as all of this is, unfortunately life still goes on and bills still continue to come out. We are asking for prayers for our family and if you are able to help us out financially in this tough time, we would greatly appreciate it. I will post updates as i get them and ask that please no messages with questions go to myself, her dad, and our family as this in itself is overwhelming as it is.
