Harmoni's Journey to Success

Hi there! My name is Harmoni Jones and I am a soon-to-be freshman at the illustrious Spelman College. I will be majoring in Psychology with a minor in Sociology. I intend on going to Grad school in hopes of becoming a licensed Psychiatrist.

Moving out of Philadelphia to somewhere I could explore my horizons has always been a dream of mine. After getting accepted to over 24 colleges and universities, I am happy with my choice to become a part of this school community and continue to receive higher education after becoming an alumna of the Academy at Palumbo.

The creation of this fundraiser is to help me pay for tuition. Although I am blessed with the opportunity to attend this school and become a Spelmanite, the tuition for this institution is a hefty amount. As a first-year college student, finding my way to this point of my journey has been by no means an easy feat. I appreciate every scholarship and aid that has helped play a part in paying but they won't be enough for my entire first year of school. This is considering the 100+ scholarships I've applied for and only gained from 6.

This is my first time being open about my situation and asking for help which is very unlike me. Gaining a college education has been an aspiration of mine since I was younger and intend to carry it out no matter what. I thank my parents and everyone else who has and will help me along the way.
