Help Harmony complete a school exchange in Finland
Donation protected
Hi,
My 14 year old daughter Harmony came to me one day and asked to go to Finland next year for a school exhange.
Harmony is kind, compassionate, adventurous, curious and wants to explore the world! Harmony has passions for music, culture, photography and astronomy. She chose Finland for a school exchange as she is curious about their culture and wants to live in it to learn more.
She has started learning Finnish and has secured a part time job to contribute to her expenses of getting to Finland and part of her living over there.
Harmony is extremely disciplined and the age of 12 she started busking at our local markets to earn money so she could sponsor a child in the Philippines. She has raised money through completing the 40 hour famine, donated funds to the kangaroo island bushfires, and was a great help at a Beyond Blue fundraising event. She received the Muriel Matters award for her compassionate and empatheic heart for those in need and was nominated for the Fred Hollows award. She was recently awarded by the mayor and city of onkaparinga the learning success award for receiving the highest academic success over the past 3 consequential years. She serves as part of leadership and worship team at her school and was nominated by peers and staff to do so for the past few years. Harmony is an acceptional young lady and so deserving of experiencing this overseas school exchange. We appreciate anything you wish to donate, we thankyou from the bottom of our hearts!
Sending her to Finland is going to cost approximately $15,000AUS and any/all donations will go towards her getting there. Here is the link to the organisation she is going with: https://www.thisisscce.com/destinations/finland/
