Help the Harmony Rocketry Team Reach DC

Who Are We?
We are a group of 20 high schoolers representing Harmony School of Endeavor-Austin. We are a dedicated group passionate about rocket science, focused on reaching Washington DC for The American Rocketry Challenge (TARC) National competition.
About TARC (Website)
TARC is a rocketry competition where teams create complex model rockets which are precisely created to reach a certain altitude and air time. As aspiring rocket scientists, contributing to rocket research is a dream for us and we would like to make a difference in space-related sciences.
Our Work
To create our rockets, we use simulations to calculate the exact materials needed to achieve our launch goals. Then, we buy the parts used in these simulations to test the rocket out in real life. In total, these parts cost around $200 per rocket, and we need about four rockets for testing out new combinations of parts. We take a few days to assemble the rockets, and eventually, we can go to a launch site for testing. We then test out our rockets and make small tweaks in order to achieve the desired altitude, which is about 835 feet.
Our Goals
Reaching the Nationals requires a lot of commitment, and part of that commitment is a financial commitment. We require funds to create rockets, afford flights to Washington DC, and pay for lodging there.
Our Hopes
We are reaching out to the GoFundMe community to connect to people who share our interest in advancing space travel and rocket science. We hope to receive the funding to achieve our goals. Thank you for donating.
