Harmony Baseball Academy Fundraiser

Over the past year, I have connected with Coach Arsel Giowou of the Harmony Baseball Academy. What he has been doing to grow the game of baseball in Cameroon is simply incredible. The goal of this GoFundMe page is to help Harmony Baseball Academy further the goals of their program, specifically helping them run their 2nd annual Championship this August.

From Harmony Baseball Academy:

Harmony Baseball Academy is a non-profit organization created by young Cameroonians who are passionate about baseball.  Harmony aims to develop baseball in Cameroon,  an organization also recognized by the Cameroonian government.  Harmony has existed for 19 months as of March 2021.  Currently, Harmony Baseball Academy trains more than 30 children in the practice of baseball in the city of Yaoundé which is the capital of Cameroonians.

Harmony Baseball plans to launch 2 new programs in 2 different communities and also plans to host the 2nd edition of its Kids' Championship in August.  The championship will have 50 children.  Although we are a non-profit organization and do not carry funds to be able to organize the championship, we come to you today to humbly ask for help in funds to be able to organize our championship -  to be able to put the children in a baseball stadium, to be able to transmit the love of the game to the children, be able to make children feel what they are doing when you hit a baseball, that extraordinary noise that the bat pops out. 

Here are the expenses we need and what we plan to do for the children at the championship

 Budget details and use:
- Waters during the games = $5
- Food and Juice for children = $600
- Field rental = $600
- Certificate of achievement for each players = $150
- Chairs rental = $40
- Manufacture of 24 medals = $300
- Purchasing school supplies for children = $400
- Making backpacks for children = $500
- Bonus for the winners = $150
- Best player, pitcher, batsman bonus = $30
- 2nd and 3rd best team bonus = $150
- Medias invitation fees = $600
- 6 Umpires = $90
- Making banners = $140
Total = $3,700
