Harry McCormick's Tough Mudder Bonanza
Donation protected
Shock thundered through our hearts when our beloved friend Harry McCormick committed suicide in April 2020. It’s hard to put into words what Harry meant to us all – his positive energy was incredibly infectious and even with his amazing intelligence and talent, he was so humble with such a genuine interest in anyone he met. Male suicide is a blight on our society, and we want to raise awareness of the issue as well as raising a glass to our friend.
We are a group of Harry’s mates – some of us have never met before – and we’re joining together to continue his legacy through new friendships, getting tough, and getting muddy. We are determined to not let the pain and grief of the past two years override how thankful we are to have been blessed by that crazy, ginger, freestyling, metal-head scientist, and to meet a new challenge head-on at the 2022 Tough Mudder at Belvoir Castle on Saturday 23 April.
Tough Mudder is a giant, 15km obstacle course full of electric shocks, huge ice baths, 3-story-high rope ladders, mud mounds, slippery inclines, barbed-wire clearances, tightropes... the list goes on. Find out more about what we're getting ourselves into at the Tough Mudder website: toughmudder.co.uk
Some of us are feeling confident. Some of us are pooping our pants.
All of us want to use this opportunity to raise money for a charity dedicated to supporting those affected by suicide.

The Tomorrow Project was set up in response to a cluster of suicides in East Leake in 2012. It’s a confidential, community-based suicide prevention, intervention and postvention service that will help and support those who are struggling. They are a team of individuals who understand despair – many have faced similar difficulties – and the service is around to help.
The Tomorrow Project has two pathways of care – supporting those in suicide crisis and those who have been bereaved by suicide. There is no age restriction in the service.
