Harrys Cafe Virtual Coffee Fund

42 years ago, Harry’s Café pulled a mobile catering truck at the Naperville Train Station, opened its doors and began serving the commuters of Naperville their morning coffee, tea, soda, etc. In these 42 years we have seen this city rise from a small town to a thriving city during which our catering trucks have been honored to serve both the construction of this city to the commuters of Metra.  We’ve been thru the ups and downs of the economy, celebrations of our great sports teams and the attack on our country on 9/11.  We have for a number of years donated to the “Toys for Tots” and helped raise money for various charities.  OUR HEART IS TRULY A PART OF THIS COMMUNITY. However, we have never seen anything quite as horrific and indescribable as this current Coronavirus Pandemic!

We first want to give a huge THANK YOU to all our medical staff and first responders throughout our city, state, country and beyond.  They are truly the heroes and shine a glimmer of hope that we can survive with their help and sacrifice.

Unfortunately, we now find ourselves in unchartered territory.  With the restrictions on businesses, Metra ridership down 95%, the “shelter in place” and continued social distancing, we are experiencing the growing concern of loss of income.  We have looked into and applied for the best option in government aide but don’t know how long we can wait or if we qualify.  All this continues to keep us in an ongoing holding period.

In the fall of 2019, we were overwhelmed by the respect and support during our conflict at the train station.  The commuters, family, friends, etc. stood by us and didn’t let us down and for that we will be FOREVER GRATEFUL!!
