Harry's Cycle to Paris
Hi, I am Harry and I am 13 years old. 3 years ago, my sister had a freak cycling accident and badly broke her arm. The ambulance service was going to be a 3-4 hour wait. Fortunately the Thames Valley air ambulance picked up the call due to the risk of her losing her arm. Their critical care response unit were able to administer pain relief and were able to carry out a critical procedure at the scene to save her from being air lifted to Oxford for emergency treatment to save her arm. Each call out for the air ambulance ground crew costs £2100 and the cost of a helicopter mission is £3950 each time. I am aiming to raise £2100 to cover the cost of the ground crew call out which we received.
I am cycling to Paris to raise funds for this incredible emergency sevice. I will be cycling with my Dad and our journey will start from our home in Hampshire to Newhaven to catch the ferry. We will then continue from Dieppe to Paris covering a total of 220 miles in just over 2 days.
Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Thames Valley Air Ambulance and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.
