Hartford police officer injured

Donation protected
The family of a Hartford Police Officer has created a GoFundMe fundraiser after a crash that has left him in critical condition September 6th.

Hartford Police Officer Brian Kearney was on duty with his partner Bobby Garten late Wednesday night when their cruiser was struck by a vehicle that was speeding through a red light in attempt to flee from a traffic stop.

His partner Officer Robert “Bobby” Garten, 34, an eight-year veteran of Hartford police, died from his injuries.

As a result of the accident Officer Kearney was seriously injured and is recovering at a local hospital.

With Officer Kearney and his wife (a nurse at a local hospital) being out of work at this time along with his long road of recovery ahead, please consider a donation to his family in their time of need. They have dedicated their lives to serving others in their community and any little bit helps.
