Harvard University Summer Program Help
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Amir Theodile and I am a high school student from Bayside High School. I hope to one day become a theoretical physicist and am passionate about helping members of my community learn more about science.
I have been accepted to Harvard’s Secondary School Program for this upcoming summer. The program gives high school students a chance to take courses at Harvard for college credit. It is an opportunity to study with some of the brightest physicists and students from around the world.
Being from a lower-income neighborhood in the city, opportunities like this don’t come around often. I come from a one-parent household, and I have this opportunity because my mother has worked tirelessly to make my education a priority and my community has been there to support us along the way. I want to make the most out of it, and my education, so that I can one day give back by helping other students from similar backgrounds explore their passion for science.
I have been fortunate enough to receive a partial scholarship from Harvard to help mitigate the cost. Unfortunately, the cost of the program remains high; this includes tuition, housing, books, and materials. I am here asking for your help because of a $6,750 deficit that needs to be satisfied for me to enroll in the program.
The opportunity to attend Harvard is something I didn't dare to dream of growing up but now is a real possibility. I am asking for help from anyone interested in and able to provide support. Every bit helps and goes a long way. Thank you for your time, generosity, and donation.
