Harvest SOZO (formerly Bethel) Surgical Mission

Tax deductible
In March 2024, we will be conducting our third Surgical and Medical Mission. We are so excited to serve more individuals this trip. We will travel to Connaught Hospital in Sierra Leone from March 11-15 followed by Liberian trips to John F. Kennedy Hospital, 14 Military Hospital, Redemption Hospital for surgical patients and non-surgical patients will be seen at the Darlingston G. Johnson Medical Center from March 18-29. We expect to perform four times more surgical procedures and two times more non surgical individuals. We thank you all for your contributions and support.

Past Trip: In February 2023, we travelled to Liberia and Sierra Leone for our second Surgical and Medical Mission. Major surgeries were performed at three major hospitals in Liberia: John F. Kennedy Hospital, 14 Military Hospital and Redemption Hospital. Non-surgical patients were seen at the Darlingston G. Johnson Medical Center in Sinkor. We anticipate performing three times more surgical procedures than in our 2019 trip and seeing as many patients as possible.

In November 2019, we brought a team of surgeons, medical doctors, and associated volunteers to perform free major and minor surgeries at the John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Sinkor Monrovia of Liberia, West Africa. The U.S. team consisted of 2 Liberian general surgeons (Dr. Gabriel Peal and Dr. Alfred Eddie Shaw), 2 Liberian medical doctors (Dr. Conteh Nimley and Dr. Albert White), a pharmacist (Dr. Patricia Ayuk Noumedem), nurses (Madalyn Trucker,RN and Sarah Turkson, LPN), evangelist Facia Johnson, photographer Kamau Little, and our coordinators (Pastor Napoleon Blamon, Pastor Patrick Nepay, Pastor Lawrence Kennedy, Faith Blamon, and Yvonne Brooks Little). During this trip we were able to donate 114 hospital beds to the John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Sinkor Monrovia. We were able to provide free treatment and medications at the Darlingston G. Johnson Medical Center on Old Road, Chugbor. Major surgeries took place at the JFK Memorial Hospital and ELWA Hospital. Almost 1,000 patients were seen overall and around 80 surgeries were performed free of charge. We look forward to our return to Liberia and the surrounding countries in the future.
