Harvey Kline’s Fight Against Cancer
Donation protected
Harvey Kline has dedicated the last 46 years of his life to helping others as a paramedic. He was part of the first paramedic class at the Conemaugh School of EMS, and he spent the first months of his career rendering aid to those affected by the Johnstown Flood of 1977. He is a former paramedic for Lee Hospital and is currently employed at West End Ambulance Service, where he has worked tirelessly caring for Johnstown residents for the last four and a half decades. Now, he is in need of our help and support. Harvey has been diagnosed with stage 3 cancer and will be undergoing aggressive testing and subsequent treatment over the coming weeks and months.
Harvey has been the first line of defense for countless people during their first breaths, last breaths, and worst hours. Harvey is the embodiment of what it means to be a paramedic. He is compassionate, empathetic, selfless, and never expects anything in return. He is the kind of person and provider we all aspire to be, with so many stories to tell and endless knowledge, advice, and guidance to give to future generations of EMS providers.
Harvey would give the shirt off his back for anyone: family, friend, or stranger, and it’s time we did the same for him. If you are able to donate, it would mean the world to his family, West End Ambulance, and all that know and love him. All funds raised will directly help to cover Harvey’s medical expenses including testing and treatment during this time so that he can focus on healing.
