Harvey Ridings - Olympic wrestler for Team GB

My name is Harvey Ridings, I am 19 years old and I was recently selected to compete for team England at this years 2022 Commonwealth games in Birmingham.

I am searching to fundraise money in order to make it possible to give myself the best opportunity’s ahead of the games and also the world championships, in Bulgaria. Wrestling in the UK is not a very well known sport which makes it hard for us full time athletes to support ourselves and make the most out of training.

From now until September I have an extremely busy schedule with training camps in Italy (current), Spain, Scotland and also Bulgaria. With 4 tournaments following the camps, European championships, Spanish Grand Prix, Commonwealth games, and the World championships.

As you can imagine, being without employment training full time and receiving no money from the sport comes a challenge, especially when trying to shop for products when looking after yourself during weight management etc ahead of a tournament, and also having to pay 50% of expenses towards travelling and camps for European and World championships etc, it’s very difficult. Hence why I am searching for help in order to make things like this easier to manage.
