Help Harvey with his, dance dream’s

Hi my name is Alison I am Harvey’s mum, for those that don’t know Harvey’s story.

Harvey is a 13 year old adhd learning disability dancer. He starting ballet when he was 3 years old, to burn off some of his energy. Harvey fell in love with dance.

Since starting his ballet journey, at let’s dance Sandra Smith at 3 years old, he has progressed to York dance Scholors, Royal ballet school Junior associates. He even managed to earn himself, a place at Elmhurst ballet vocational school. He danced and studied there for 1 year, his year 7 year but sadly had to leave the school, due to his additional needs. They could not support him or meet his needs.

Harvey is currently training at Northern Ballet, on the Centre Of Advanced Training course in Leeds. And his home dance school Yorkshire Rose Academy Of Dance in York. Where he is currently doing RAD grade 6 and intermediate, vocational course.

Harvey is also an ambassador for a company in London called 4dance.

Harvey also dances for Kick off boys this is a contemporary group, just for boys and us run by a charity which is amazing.

Harvey was honoured to win York mix Radios, outstanding talent award last year. Against some tough competitors. 

I have set up this funding page, as I would love for Harvey to get the same opportunity as his piers. I am a single mum of 2 boys, and I am Harvey’s full time carer. My boys have always come first, as they should, my life has been put on hold to help Harvey achieve his dreams.

Due to Harvey’s adhd and learning disability he attends a special needs school, where he is doing much better than mainstream school.

This page has been set up to help Harvey go to summer schools, masterclasses, pay for his ballet uniform and travel costs. As these are very expensive.

We have applied for Yorkshire Ballet Seminars, this summer and will find out soon if he has a place. Harvey has attended this summer school for the last 2 years thanks to scholarships. It’s somewhere he feels happy and safe.

Harvey will be looking at going to upper school in a few years time, it’s a big competitive world out there. Most of the boys he will go up again will be internationals, or boys that go on many Easter/summer school across the world. So I would love it if Harvey could have similar opportunities.
