Harvey's Dream Home Destruction

 "No flood insurance... we are supposed to live in a non-flood zone."  These are the words that broke my heart and brought me to tears as I heard them from a friend in Texas who is being hit by Hurricane Harvey.

My friend, Brandon and his girlfriend just started to build their dream home a couple of hours east of Houston last year and now they have not only had to evacuate, but have received word from neighbors who were not able to get out before the situation became an emergency, that the water is up to waist deep in some places.

I am asking all of you kind, generous people to donate to this fund so that we can help them recover from this devastation and make this their 'insurance' so that they can put the money towards what will surely be a long road for these Texas residents.

These words from Sarah pretty much explain I'm sure everyone in the area is feeling:

" I can't even begin to describe what I'm feeling right now. It feels like a nightmare that you can't wake up from. Helpless and hopelessness sets in and just takes over. I am nauseous, scared, and definitely exhausted. It is relentless and we are just praying for a break. We will have a long road ahead of us with trying to repair our home. We won't know the full amount of damage for a couple of days, so the fear of the unknown is haunting."
