Hasker Morris diagnosed with Pyoderma Gangrensum
Donation protected
Hasker Morris, our dear friend and Downtown Fitness Center Canal Place manager was diagnosed with Pyoderma Gangrensum, a rare inflammatory skin disease where painful pustules or nodules become ulcers that progressively grow.
He has had 2 surgeries to remove skin and muscle, to the bone because of the infections. The doctors think they have got it under control, but now it's a wait-and-see. There is talk of amputation if this doesn't work.
Hasker desperately needs the love, prayers and support of those who can help.
Pyoderma Gangrensum affects approximately 1 in every 100,000 in the United States. There are a number of treatment options, but there's no clear evidence to suggest which treatment would be best. Recovery could take 6 months to a year that involves multiple medications, skin grafts and wound vacuum healing.
