Maris Hastings, 39, of Naperville, IL passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on May 8th, 2021.
Maris was born and raised in the Philippines and moved to the US in 2005. Her family remained in the Philippines.
She left behind her two young children, Nathan (14) and Kiana (10). Nathan and Kiana attended Ann Reid Early Childhood Center, Maplebrook Elementary School, Lincoln Junior High, and most recently Steeple Run Elementary School and Kennedy Junior High School in Naperville, IL. Nathan and Kiana enjoyed Taekwondo and Nathan was a piano student.
Preceding her in death is her late husband and father of her children, Stephen Hastings who passed away in 2012.
Maris was an amazing and dedicated mother. She had a quiet demeanor, and was kind and generous. She enjoyed gardening and spending time in nature with her children. She loved taking them on trips, camping, and visiting with extended family in Indiana.
The generosity of those who can donate will help fund the children’s future needs, education and funeral expenses. All contributions will go to Nathan and Kiana’s paternal grandparents who will be caring for them at this time.
