Hate Has No Home Here in Dutchess County
In the wake of white supremacist activities in Dutchess County, these signs speak up and make it clear that such activity does not represent us.
Rather than give publicity to any hateful group, we can change the narrative with a visual campaign of yard signs,
window signs and bumper stickers that read:
“Hate Has No Home Here”.
We want all our neighbors to know that they are welcomed in our community. We hope that these signs, placed throughout Dutchess County, will counter any hateful messages.
Since March 2, 2019 funds were raised to purchase 1,500 lawn signs, 1,000 bumper stickers and 1,000 window clings. As of June, 2020, there are about 100 lawn signs, 500 window clings and bumper stickers waiting for homes. In response to nationwide issues we anticipate a surge in requests for lawn signs at this time. Our cost per lawn sign is approximately $5, and clings cost about $1 each.
Any contribution to this effort is appreciated and will only be used to purchase signs, bumper-stickers or window clings.
None of the organizers or distributors financially profit from this effort in any way. We are an informal group of Dutchess County concerned citizens. This campaign is non-partisan and not affiliated with any institution or political campaign.
