Hatherleigh Youth Football Club - The Big Sponsored Walk
Donation protected
Hatherleigh Youth Football Club's Big Sponsored Walk is part of a fundraising campaign to give our 170+ youth players a place to train all year round in Hatherleigh.
A group of coaches, parents and players will be walking 60 miles from Hatherleigh to Exeter over three days from the 2nd to 4th January 2025, raising money towards the pitch.
Our route will take us to 20 other football pitches where we aim to score goals in every set of goalposts we see. We're starting at our own pitch in Hatherleigh and we'll finish three days later at St. James Park, home of Exeter City FC.
3 days - 20 pitches - 60 miles - 100 goals
Why are we raising money?
Hatherleigh Youth Football Club is fundraising to buy a piece of land on which we plan to build a much-needed all weather football pitch. This will allow all of our youth teams to train in Hatherleigh all year round.
At the moment, we don't have an all weather pitch, so we have to book other pitches at great cost to the club and parents and players have to drive long distances to train every week.
We have another GoFundMe page (https://gofundme.com/hatherleigh-football-club-all-weather-pitch) where you can find out more about the campaign and the reasons why an all-weather pitch would make such a difference to our club and our community.
Sponsor a coach, parent or player for The Big Sponsored Walk
All of the people taking part in The Big Sponsored Walk are looking for sponsorship. All of the pledges will go towards the fundraising campaign.
We're aiming to raise £2,000 from The Big Sponsored Walk.
Please pledge as much as you can - and, when you donate, you can put the name of the coach, player or parent you're sponsoring as a note on your donation so we know who has raised the most.
Thank you for your generosity and for helping Hatherleigh Youth Football Club raise the money to provide a fantastic new facility and secure the future of the football club for years to come.
