Hatties cold cot fund

On 16th may at 10:20 am our beautiful little girl Hattie Joan Sowerby was born sleeping . If it wasn’t for James cook university delivery suite already having a cold cot on the ward our time with Hattie would have been significantly cut short . This time is so special as it gives you time to make memories that you will cherish forever and helps with grieving process. however the hospital only have one as these cold cots as they cost quite a lot .

as a family / community we would love to raise enough money to provide James cook with a second cold cot in memory of Hattie , so her memory can live on and help other grieving families.

what is a cold cot ?

A cold cot is a refrigerated cot that allows parents to spend more time with their deceased baby than would otherwise be possible. The cold cot helps parents to bond with their baby and aids the grieving process.

If we raise the cost of a cold cot, any remaining funds will be split between 4louis and James Cook University Hospital central delivery suite bereavement team. 4Louis charity provide memories boxes filled will keepsakes and mementos to help family’s who have been effected by a miscarriage , stillbirth, or a death of a baby or child to create lasting memories of there loved one. James Cook University Hospital central delivery suit bereavement team provide holistic care, practical advice and ongoing emotional support to families whose baby has died during pregnancy, or shortly after birth .
