Haunted Bookshop Becomes Parnassus on Wheels

To keep serving our patrons and providing fun and safe work for our staff during the COVID-19 situation, we are raising funds for web development and local delivery services.

We need to redesign our website (www.thehauntedbookshop.com) so that you can browse from home and select books, games, puzzles, and toys, and we'd like to provide food and gas money to volunteers who can deliver your selections to you, free of charge.

We'd also like to keep folks employed, safely and cleanly, creating footage of our shelves, written and video reviews, and catalogs of our books - and, of course, pictures of our cats - for your browsing entertainment.

We don't need to remind you that these are tough times. Fear, isolation, and long hours with housemates demand creativity, joy, and dedication. Please help us to continue to serve our community.

$5... Your very own, original, just taken picture of the kitty of your choice: Nierme, Logan, Sophocles "Sophie", and Aeschylus "Esk" are standing by for your attention! Funds can be applied toward kitty litter, food, and treats. Not too many treats n...OW! Nierme says treats are fine.

$10... This buys gas or a meal for a delivery volunteer. For keeping Haunted Bookshop on the go... haha, that would make us Parnassus on Wheels (this is a Christopher Morley joke; they're two novels about a bookseller in his shop and on a bookmobile)... we'll send you a short video of the cat of your choice!

$15... Covers an hour of employment. If we have enough, we can hire additional people to help us catalog, take shelfies for you to browse, and work on our website! In exchange, we would be happy to offer you first dibs from a shelf of books or toys, with 10% off all you see in the picture we'll send to you first!

$100... Keeps the physical store running, including paying the mortgage and utilities, for half a day. We would be happy to provide you with a 10% coupon good for the entirety of your next purchase!

$250... A day in the life of the Haunted. I dunno what to do with you. You're a hero. You get the 15% staff discount through April 30, a book up to $20 to give to a friend in the area (free delivery), plus a personalized thank you from the cats.Aeschylus and Nierme looking sleepy... just woke up from a nap!
