Haven House Shelter is a short-term homeless shelter for residents of Clearfield, Elk, and Jefferson Counties
We opened our doors in November 2006.
Our mission is to provide a safe, encouraging atmosphere, food, lodging, and guidance for local residents facing homelessness.
The goal is for guests to become empowered by removing the emotional burden and uncertainty of homelessness and requiring a disciplined effort, that guests will be empowered to overcome the problem that brought them to Haven House and to regain their independence and self respect in their 30 day stay.
We are located in DuBois PA; we are within walking distance of employment services, and on a bus route.
We have 24/7 staffing.
Haven House is a tax-exempt, nonprofit corporation organized and governed by a board of dedicated local citizens.
