Haven’s hemangioma removal
As you know, my one year old daughter Haven has an infantile hemangioma on her eyebrow that has not responded to medication. After meeting with numerous doctors, we have been informed multiple times that the only way this hemangioma will go away is surgically. Luckily, I have had the pleasure of speaking with a leading expert in this field, Dr. Gregory Levitin, and he has agreed to perform this surgery for Haven. Unfortunately, Dr. Levitin is based in NYC which is a bit of a commute from where I live in Indiana. I am going to make this trip happen for my daughter one way or another and I am doing everything I can to earn the money on my own but I have set up this fundraiser because a few amazing people stated they would like to help us get to New York for this surgery. It is never easy for me to ask for or accept financial help but my daughter’s well being is far more important than my pride so if you feel inclined to donate to this trip, I want you to know I appreciate it from the bottom of my heart.
I set the goal to $3,000 after spending hours looking at airline tickets, car rentals (in case we decide to drive there instead of flying), and hotel and airBNB rates around NYC and surrounding areas. Any money raised will be used for necessities for this trip. If we raise more than we end up needing, we will donate it to the next baby in need.
thank you again, Haven obviously has no idea what going on right now but I know one day she will be so grateful.
