Havik Mims with Med bills from a football injury

Hello, I am making this Go Fund Me on behalf of my teammate Angela Havik Mims, a dedicated women's tackle football on the San Diego Rebellion in the WNFC!

For the past 20 years, this sport has been her passion. During our playoff game on 6/10/23, she sustained the most serious injury of her career. Her right tibia was fractured in two places, along with a fractured fibula. She underwent emergency surgery in Utah, which involved the placement of a metal rod and screws in her leg—a permanent reminder of her commitment to the game she is trying to help grow for future generations of girls and women.

Currently, she is in a cast and undergoing the recovery process at home in Long Beach. Unfortunately, her immobility prevents her from working, and her loving fiancée Barbie is also unable to work, as she's taking care of Havik full-time. This situation has placed a tremendous financial burden on them, since both are hourly employees. This injurly comes with many medical bills, along with regular expenses.
