Having Spinal Surgery in Saskatoon and Transportio
Donation protected
My name is John Cholodnuik. I worked at a Northern Saskatchewan mining site. On August 10th, 2016 I had a work place accident that resulted in a shoulder injury and concussion. WCB has only covered my shoulder injury expenses. Since then, I’ve had to pay for all my medical expenses in regards to my post concussion syndrome. My health has declined immensely through the years, and I’ve recently lost the use of my legs. I’m now confined to a wheelchair and bed at all times and have been deemed in the need of level 4 care within a nursing home. That means that I have to be lifted by two nurses with the help of a lift at all times. This includes when I shower and use the bathroom.
Due to the level of care that I need, I’m no longer able to live at home. I have been living in a nursing home since October of 2023, and unfortunately it’s an expense I’m unable to afford. My travel between hospitals and appointments have to be done by ambulance due to my condition. I have overdue bills from past and present ambulance trips as they are no longer covered for me. My nursing home bills are around $3,300.00 per month and I’m currently still paying for my house as I do not know if I will continue to need this level of care in the future. I now have a spin surgery scheduled and hope this procedure will help me to walk again and be able to return home. Some support would be appropriated. Thank You So Much For Your Support
