Aloha! my name is Louie I'm the owner of Hawaiian Soul were a food truck in the minnehaha neighborhood.
At the end of every year after we close down for the season and we use whatever savings we had built up to fund our homeless outreach. We call it homies helping the homeless. We are not a religious venture we are just people from all walks of life helping out where we can. We put together hygiene kits, sleeping bags, thick socks, beanies, gloves and anything we can find that will help people get through our freezing winter and this year everything is more expensive than last year. We also make and hand out meals.
Throughout the year if people don't have money on them or just can't afford it we will still try to feed them. Why else would you have a food truck?Right!?
This will be the 8th homies helping the homeless drive. Normally people chip in a little but we usually pay out of pocket for the brunt of it, but the more donations we can get the more people we can help. So we're asking you, our community to help us help the less fortunate. Anything you can contribute would be appreciated and go directly toward helping people that need it. Aloha for now!
