Hawks and Smoke Batting Cage!

I’m in the process of building a Team Batting Cage for us out here on my little patch of land just 2 miles down the road from our soon to be Home Field! The batting cage is going to be accessible to all Hawks + Smoke with some kind of schedule TBD. I’m out here on 20 acres so there is plenty of room. In addition to the cage there will be plenty of parking, a shady chill zone and a storage area for equipment. I’ve already purchased the best pitching machine and net I could find. Next is the net structure. It’s going to be 60 feet long, 12 feet high and 14 feet wide. Similar to the one behind our Lockhart Field but bigger and better! I am half way there to making this dream a reality and now I’m hoping y’all can give me a little lift for completion. There’s a chance here to contribute monetarily or with elbow grease. Or both! The goal is 1245$ If we all pitch in 10-50$ we will be on our way! Once we get there, I’ll get going on material and then the elbow grease comes in. We’ll need cutting, grinding and welding of steel. Digging holes, mixing concrete, leveling ground, hanging the net, etc. If we can get 10-15 folks to help day of the build then I’m confident we’ll be swingin and drinkin by sunset! Who’s ready?!?!
