Hayden Lecius

Friends and family,

Many of you know Hayden Lecius. He is 23 years old, born and raised in Ft. Myers. He is a young man with incredible work ethic, has an infectious smile, is conscientious, and always willing to help others. Hayden is a Fort Myers High School alumni and a graduate of Florida Gulf Coast University. He is employed by Publix, who has been generous enough to save Hayden’s job for him, due to his dedication and value as an employee.

Almost two weeks ago Hayden was hospitalized with incredible back pain. Thorough testing showed that he has contracted a staph infection which manifested in both his cervical and lumbar spine. Hayden underwent emergency surgery and may need more surgeries in the future. Hayden was in the ICU for almost 2 weeks, and will remain in the hospital until deemed able to move to a rehab facility to continue his recovery. While he is improving daily, this recovery process will take months. The financial ramifications are staggering, as one might imagine.

We are asking for help with this awesome family’s financial burden. Heidi and Peter Lecius (Hayden’s parents) both work full time. Peter is taking a leave of absence in order to be on hand for Hayden’s needs. Our belief is that Hayden will make a full and complete recovery due to his strength, determination and perseverance. Any donations will help greatly with these staggering and mounting medical bills.

The Lecius family and all that know and love them are asking for continued prayers for Hayden. They are faithful people and know that the power of prayer can make miracles happen.
