Hayes Wilkins Bailey Education Fund

9-year-old Hayes just lost her fierce, brilliant, loving Mama Sydney on May 14th, 2023 after a six-year battle with brain cancer. Sydney's sisters Katie and Molly have started this fund for Hayes' college education.

Hayes is a rising 4th-grader, and she has already been placed in the Academically and Intellectually Gifted program. She is an avid reader, animal lover, art lover(Frida Kahlo is her current favorite), and budding artist in her own right. Providing for her higher education will not only give her more options when the time comes, but also give her dad and family peace of mind knowing she will not be strapped with crippling loans.

These funds will be used to open a 529 account in Hayes' name. We know that this would make Sydney so happy; as a teacher herself, education was a top priority, and we want to honor the memory of our dear sister by helping the love of her life---her zuzu girl Hayes.

Our family friend and second mom, Amy Jones is holding the funds raised through GoFundMe until we set up a NC 529 Plan on behalf of Hayes Bailey. Once the 529 is set up, those who wish to contribute further may do so by donating directly to the plan. More updates to follow.
